WAC Youth Policies & Guidelines
Any individual under the age of 11 years old must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult (18 years or older) while using the Westonka Activity Center. Individuals under the age of 11 years old may not be dropped off and left alone unattended. This includes after school, evenings, non-school days and weekends. Individuals under the age of 11 may attend Youth Association practices and Community Education classes without parent or adult accompaniment, as the program permits.
Youth Fitness Center Use Guidelines:
Only individuals ages 14 years and older will be allowed to use the Westonka Activity Center’s Fitness Center, including the fitness and weight equipment, regardless of parent supervision. All individuals age 14-17 must have a Fitness Center orientation prior to using this area and equipment. Individuals can sign up at the front desk for a designated orientation time.
Youth Pool Use Guidelines:
Swim Lessons: Students must be brought down and picked for their lessons by a guardian/adult
Open Swim: Students must be at least 12 years of age to swim without an adult
Lap Swim: Students must be minimum 16 years of age
